Congratulations to John Hamelin, our Volunteer of the Month for October! John started volunteering with Project Angel Heart 2009 and works as a kitchen assistant on Wednesday mornings. John was nominated by Volunteer Resources Manager, Sarah Woolverton-Mohler:
John exudes a warm and positive energy as he volunteers his time in the kitchen on Wednesday mornings. It’s abundantly clear that he cares very much about the clients we serve, and really, about serving the community through his efforts. Not only does John volunteer at Project Angel Heart, but he also volunteers at Denver Hospice by providing healing through reiki. John’s presence rings a renewed energy to each staff person as he makes his rounds to visit and uplift our employees on the days he volunteers in the kitchen. Thank you!
Again, thank you John for all your hard work! As a Volunteer of the Month honoree, John, along with our other 2012 Volunteers of the Month and their guests, will enjoy a lovely dinner prepared by Project Angel Heart's Executive Chef, Jon Emanuel.
Do you know a volunteer that you think should receive special recognition? Did you see someone go the extra mile? Take a few minutes and nominate someone for Volunteer of the Month! Nomination forms are in the break room and we encourage staff and volunteers to nominate any volunteer you feel should be recognized. You can nominate as many individuals you like. To determine each month's honoree, one nominee is selected at random.
