Opportunities for Individuals
Kitchen Assistant You don’t have to know what “béchamel” means to help prepare and package food for clients—anyone who cares about quality food for people living with life-threatening illness already has what it takes! Volunteers in Randy’s Kitchen chop, slice, bag, scoop, stir, blend, bake and—of course—scrub! * Béchamel is a white sauce made from butter, flour and milk. Denver Shifts: Monday-Friday 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.; Monday-Thursday 2 - 5 p.m. and 5 - 8 p.m.
Distribution Assistant Every week, distribution assistants solve Project Angel Heart’s meal puzzle when they pack and organize meal bags with five days’ worth of meals. Distribution assistants are essential in getting the right meal, in the right bag, in the right car, and eventually on to the right table. An eye for detail is a must for this job. Delivery Driver Cruise for a cause when you deliver meals to clients. Denver Shifts: Saturday 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. Colorado Springs Shifts: Saturday 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
Satellite Shuttle Driver: Our ten meal distribution satellites are located across the Denver and Colorado Springs Metro areas, making it possible for 100 meal delivery drivers to pick up meal bags close to home and make deliveries close to home, too! Satellite shuttle drivers pack up meals and deliver those meals to a satellite for meal deliver drivers to take to individual clients. Please note you must have an SUV, covered pickup or van to serve as a satellite shuttle driver. Denver Shifts: Saturday noon – 1 p.m. Colorado Springs Shifts: Saturday noon – 1 p.m.
Office Assistant Office assistants provide essential support to staff including, but not limited to, answering phones, data entry, filing, and more. Denver Shifts: 2 to 4 hour shifts available Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
